‘Victory Loves Preparation’ – This quote from the movie, ‘The Mechanic,’ has inspired me and propelled me to work hard in all aspects of life because I firmly believe that there is no shortcut to success.
I joined BRIDGEi2i as a fresher armed with a postgraduate degree in Finance from Delhi University. I always had a strong inclination towards data crunching, and analytics seemed to be the natural choice for me, although I was quite skeptical about how I could contribute and grow in this field. Upon joining the company, there was one particularly challenging project on digital transformation, which genuinely tested me, but it also helped me discover that I could easily manage a techno-functional role. I soon learned the tricks of the trade and transitioned from an analyst to an engagement leader, and I was able to manage work and client interactions across teams and functions quite seamlessly. I’m inspired by my boss, a keen proponent of continuous learning, who loves throwing new challenges for me to solve.
Although I’ve only spent six years in this profession, I truly believe that the hunger to learn more can take you places! I aspire to become an expert in cross-functional domains and to work on scalable and sustainable solutions for enterprises. At some point in life, I want to start imparting analytics knowledge to people who are keen to make a mark in analytics and data science but lack the resources and guidance to do so.
Our team here at BRIDGEi2i has collaborated to come forward with a unique visualization dashboard that provides insights into the COVID-19 pandemic.
I realize that COVID-19 has changed life as we knew it and made it mandatory for companies to invest in digital transformation. The silver lining is that companies will now look at building AI-powered systems which will go a long way in preparing us for any other crises in the future.
However, I desperately hope that we don’t have to face any more pandemics!
On the personal front, I’m very thankful to my parents, husband, and in-laws, for supporting me every step of my journey. My father always gave me a free hand in choosing my path and had been my supporting hand throughout my life. I love spending time with my family! My mother-in-law is a great chef, so I spend my weekends cooking up new recipes with her. I also like helping my father-in-law, a legal advisor, with write-ups, and play cards and board games with my husband and brother-in-law. I enjoy painting and singing and devour a crazy number of mystery novels. Traveling to Goa with my husband is my favourite time off work, and I can’t wait to plan my next vacation already!
