Product-Market fit is the toughest problem to crack for any startup, and more often than not it takes time to figure this out. But after having some understanding of Product-market fitness, the real difficulty many businesses find is in anticipating and accurately predicting the time for scale-up, especially when it’s aiming for rapid growth.
While working at previous large companies, we faced problems in dealing with large amount of data moving with high velocity. I saw even the brightest teams in topmost companies dealing with regular system crashes and outages simply because it was becoming very hard to ingest, analyze and store data in real-time. This triggered my thoughts on building scalable, predictive and real-time data analytic NoSQL data platform
I decided to branch out on my own with this purpose in mind. This has led to IQLECT, a data analytics company I founded that deals with data analytics to monitor and predict user & machine behavior easily.
My advice to aspiring data scientists is to be selective about the areas they want to expertise. Depth is more important than breadth in data science. While not at work, I love to spend time and play with my kids. I also like going out of Bangalore on long drives.
